Software Engineer, Frontend at Squarespace.
About the role
Squarespace is seeking a frontend-focused engineer to manage features from conception to deployment. You will join the Identity and Access Management team to build secure, scalable authentication and account protection systems for our global user base.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage systems and processes across various business units to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Develop user interfaces that allow internal teams to integrate authentication and security features into our services.
- Partner with design, product, infrastructure, platform, data, security, and legal departments.
- Establish frontend architecture, testing protocols, coding standards, and developer workflows.
- Connect frontend systems with authorization, session management, OIDC, and OAuth services.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in modern frontend stacks including TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Proven track record in building large-scale software applications.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reliable code.
- Strong grasp of web application development principles.
Nice to have
- Experience or interest in working with WebAuthN, OAuth, Identity Providers, and IAM services.
- Familiarity with backend development using Go, Java, Node.js, or similar languages.
