You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of the procurement function at a high-growth technology company. In this role, you will develop and deploy enterprise-wide sourcing programs that directly enable ambitious business objectives and long-term resilience. You will build and manage critical supplier relationships that drive value, quality, and innovation across the organization. You will partner deeply with executive leadership to ensure procurement strategy is tightly integrated with corporate goals and risk management. This position requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex market dynamics into clear business outcomes and measurable value. You will be responsible for transforming procurement into a strategic asset that fuels competitive advantage and operational excellence.

Build multi-year sourcing strategies that balance cost competitiveness, quality, service, and speed to enable key business initiatives.
Identify and execute enterprise-wide purchasing power opportunities through structured strategic sourcing programs.
Support new products delivery by planning procurement models and engaging early in product and vendor assessments.
Oversee procurement transformation initiatives focused on process optimization and the adoption of digital procurement technologies.
Enhance procurement policies, governance frameworks, and best practices to support operational excellence and scalability.
Lead execution of sourcing strategies for major spend categories such as technology, cloud services, and operational needs.
Lead complex sourcing initiatives and manage competitive bid processes to secure optimal terms and value.
Evaluate supplier markets and industry trends to identify opportunities, threats, and appropriate mitigation actions.
Balance cost, quality, speed, innovation, sustainability, and supplier diversity within all sourcing decisions and recommendations.
Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis for major purchasing decisions to ensure long-term financial and operational efficiency.
Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with key suppliers to foster collaboration, innovation, and mutual growth.
Establish robust supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and regular business reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Lead executive-level supplier negotiations and manage complex contract renewals with a focus on value and risk mitigation.
Identify supplier innovation opportunities that enhance products, services, and overall operational efficiency.
Manage supplier risk through business continuity planning, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.
Develop annual procurement targets and value creation initiatives that are directly tied to overarching business goals.
Analyze organizational spend data to uncover efficiencies, reduce maverick spend, and identify further cost optimization opportunities.
Monitor procurement key performance indicators and prepare detailed reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
Support budgeting and financial planning activities through accurate forecasting and timely market intelligence.
Ensure all procurement decisions align with both financial discipline and operational requirements across the business.
Develop and maintain comprehensive procurement risk management strategies to protect the organization.
Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and internal company policies.
Oversee contract management processes and supplier compliance programs to mitigate legal and operational risk.
Monitor external trends and market risks to anticipate impacts on procurement activities and strategic decisions.
Partner closely with Legal, Finance, and Security teams on the development and execution of complex supplier agreements.
Continuously collaborate with Finance and Business Unit leaders to align procurement strategies with evolving business needs.
Influence business stakeholders to adopt strategic sourcing practices and standardized procurement processes.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing market insights, strategic recommendations, and data-driven guidance.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team through coaching, goal setting, and professional growth opportunities.
Foster a culture of strategic thinking, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the procurement organization.
Build organizational procurement capabilities through targeted training, process documentation, and skills development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
Bring 15+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with at least 5 years in a Director-level or equivalent role.
Demonstrated experience building and executing procurement strategy across diverse categories and complex business environments.
Possess proven expertise in sourcing and negotiating technology-specific spend categories including cloud services, SaaS platforms, and technology vendors.
Have a strong track record of managing large-scale, enterprise-grade supplier relationships and complex negotiations.
Show evidence of leading procurement transformation and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced growth setting.
Exhibit deep understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and its application to strategic procurement decisions.
Demonstrate ability to balance competing priorities such as cost, quality, speed, innovation, sustainability, and supplier diversity.
Nice to have
Preferred experience with digital procurement technologies and automation platforms.
Background in managing procurement for high-growth technology or SaaS companies.
Experience with supplier risk management frameworks and business continuity planning.

This is a full-time position based in our New York City office.
The role reports directly to the Senior Director of Finance Operations.
