Senior Transportation Analyst

About the role

Spreetail is looking for an analytical professional to manage transportation data and improve logistics efficiency. You will build tools and reporting systems to help the company scale its global ecommerce operations while controlling costs.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain models to improve freight costs, delivery speeds, and network efficiency.
• Manage and upgrade internal tools like routing optimizers, carrier dashboards, cost benchmarks, and chargeback systems.
• Generate real-time and predictive reports regarding freight spend, transit times, and delivery performance.
• Provide rapid ad hoc analysis to support business decisions, maintaining a 24-hour turnaround time.
• Work with other departments to automate processes and develop scalable data solutions.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 or more years of experience in analytics, specifically within logistics, supply chain, transportation, or ecommerce.
• Advanced SQL proficiency using platforms like Starburst or Snowflake, including the ability to write and refine complex queries.
• High-level Excel skills and experience building Power BI dashboards and DAX measures from the ground up.
• Ability to work independently to define ambiguous problems, extract data, and present clear solutions.
• Strong English communication skills with experience presenting to US-based stakeholders across different time zones.

Nice to have

• Background in freight cost modeling, carrier rate analysis, or inbound warehouse operations data.

Practical notes

• This is a remote role requiring a stable home office setup.
• You must provide a computer with at least an Intel i3 4th generation processor, 4GB of RAM, and Windows 10 or macOS.
• You must supply your own dual monitors, a headset, and a high-definition webcam (minimum 720p).
• A wired internet connection (fiber, cable, or DSL) with at least 10 Mbps is required.
