Trade Compliance Specialist

About the role

Spreetail is seeking a specialist to manage import operations by ensuring regulatory compliance and precise product classification. You will support the transportation team by identifying risks and maintaining accuracy in global trade processes.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Assign HTS classifications by applying GRIs, section and chapter notes, explanatory notes, administrative rulings, and CBP guidance.
• Verify admissibility requirements and implications for PGAs including FDA, EPA, and CPSC.
• Check for AD/CVD exposure using Federal Register data and ACE.
• Perform research regarding trade actions, regulatory shifts, and tariff updates.
• Analyze product specifications, including materials, construction, and function, to gather data required for classification.

Requirements

• Proficiency with HTSUS and Canada HS structures, including GRIs, section and chapter notes, explanatory notes, and CROSS rulings.
• Ability to identify specific product details that influence admissibility and classification.
• Competence in researching tariff and regulatory information.
• Experience identifying risks related to Partner Government Agencies.
• High level of precision when evaluating images, material lists, product descriptions, and brand specs.
