About the role

Spreetail helps global brands expand their ecommerce reach while optimizing operational efficiency. We are looking for an engineer to design backend services and integrations that connect our platform to major global sales channels.

What you'll do

• Develop backend services and data features aligned with performance targets and project roadmaps.
• Manage code from initial design through production deployment, focusing on long-term reliability.
• Solve complex technical problems and adapt to changing requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and team planning sessions with product managers and stakeholders.
• Improve technical processes and contribute ideas to enhance team output.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks like FastAPI.
• Experience with modern data tools including DBT, Snowflake, S3, or AWS Glue.
• Practical knowledge of distributed systems such as Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Ability to optimize database queries and service performance.
• Experience building APIs capable of handling large datasets.

Practical notes

• This is a fully remote role based in India.
• You must provide a home office setup including a computer with at least an Intel i3 4th generation processor (or equivalent), 4GB RAM, and Windows 10 or macOS.
• You are required to provide dual monitors, a headset, and an HD webcam (720p minimum).
• A stable wired internet connection (DSL, cable, or fiber) with at least 10 Mbps is mandatory.
• Compensation includes a competitive salary and health insurance coverage up to 30 Lakh for you, your family, and your parents.
