Area Manager, Away Team & Crisis Support

About the role

Spreetail is seeking a mobile leader to join our Away Team, a specialized unit focused on facility launches, crisis management, and operational stability. You will move across our fulfillment network to master our systems, eventually transitioning into a permanent leadership position at a new site.

What you'll do

• Integrate into various fulfillment centers to learn our operational model through hands-on inbound and outbound work.
• Deploy to high-priority or crisis locations to stabilize performance and improve output.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with team leads to support staff development and training.
• Implement process improvements to enhance site safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Maintain a safety-first environment by identifying hazards and addressing unsafe practices immediately.
• Travel to designated facilities at least 25 percent of the time, with potential for increased travel based on network requirements.
• Prepare for a permanent transition to a long-term Area Manager role at a newly launched facility.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of professional management or leadership experience.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly shifting environments.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience documenting standard operating procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining workplace safety standards.
• Capability to provide and accept constructive feedback.
• Willingness to travel at least 25 percent of the time.
• Openness to relocation for a permanent site placement.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends during peak seasons and facility launches.
