Spotify's Legal team is expanding to tackle the unique challenges that arise as we grow in a rapidly evolving industry. With our presence in over 184 countries, we encounter new legal considerations daily. The Product & Regulatory team plays a crucial role in ensuring that Spotify adheres to global regulations while fostering user safety and trust.

What you'll do
- Oversee and enhance the document management system for the Product & Regulatory team, ensuring compliance records are organized and easily accessible.
- Establish and maintain practices for regulatory monitoring, tracking legislative changes and managing regulatory calendars to keep the team informed.
- Handle the entire process for updating terms of service and policies, coordinating drafts, reviews, approvals, and publication schedules.
- Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives for the Product & Regulatory Legal team, managing workstreams from initiation to completion with defined milestones.
- Assist in preparing responses to regulatory requests for information and audits by gathering materials and coordinating inputs across various teams for timely submissions.
- Create and maintain internal playbooks, process documentation, and communications to ensure compliance workflows operate efficiently.
- Collaborate with Product, Trust & Safety, and Engineering teams to ensure operational controls and reporting processes align with active regulatory programs.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to enhance the team's management of regulatory tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, program management, or legal operations within a technology, digital platform, or media setting.
- Knowledge of online platform regulations (such as DMA, DSA, UK OSA, AUS OSA, COPPA) is beneficial but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, align stakeholders, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Strong communication skills to effectively gather information, brief senior stakeholders, and coordinate with cross-functional partners.
- Resourceful and proactive in problem-solving, with the ability to create processes independently.
- Proficient in document management and knowledge organization, capable of building the necessary operational framework for the team.
- Comfortable working with global teams across different time zones in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Notion, with a preference for structured execution over ad-hoc approaches.
Where You'll Be
This position is based in New York, NY, allowing for a flexible work arrangement. While some in-person meetings are required, the role supports working from home.
The salary range for this position in the United States is $125,701 - $179,574, in addition to equity options. Benefits include health insurance, six months of paid parental leave, a 401(k) retirement plan, a monthly meal allowance, 23 paid vacation days, 13 paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. These figures may be subject to future adjustments.
