About the role

Spin Careers is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to architect and manage high-scale data systems. You will guide technical strategy, mentor engineering staff, and ensure our data infrastructure supports long-term business goals.

What you'll do

• Build and manage scalable pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Partner with internal teams to translate business needs into technical data architectures.
• Create and refine data models for analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives.
• Manage batch, microbatch, and real-time streaming data workflows.
• Enforce data governance and privacy standards across all systems.
• Oversee the health of data lakes, warehouses, and streaming platforms.
• Establish data quality metrics and monitoring systems to track information integrity.
• Lead project execution using Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Document technical workflows and maintain clean codebases via version control.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Demonstrated mastery of GCP and AWS environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and advanced SQL optimization.
• Experience with the full data engineering lifecycle, including dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT design.
• Background in implementing data privacy and governance frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical designs to stakeholders.
• Experience aligning technical projects with company OKRs.
