About the role

SpaceXAI is building AI systems to interpret the universe and support human knowledge. We are looking for a hands-on leader in Memphis to manage our server and network infrastructure, focusing on improving our response times for detection and repair.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Guide and mentor a team of data center technicians to maintain high performance.
• Direct the installation, repair, and maintenance of all server and network hardware.
• Supervise infrastructure tasks including power cabling, fiber labeling, and hardware decommissioning.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Work with provisioning and engineering groups to manage hardware intake and repair workflows.
• Track assets and inventory using internal software tools.
• Resolve operational tickets using Jira.
• Partner with other departments to design and deploy network configurations.
• Drive projects that increase efficiency and minimize system downtime.
• Provide on-call support for urgent site incidents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with compute, storage, server, and network hardware.
• 3+ years of experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within a technical operations or data center setting.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Linux, including shell navigation, file manipulation, permissions, and package management.
• Experience with scripting in Bash or Python.
• Background in managing data center infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, cooling, and power systems.
• Strong time management and prioritization capabilities.
