About the role
SpaceX is seeking a specialist to manage technical instruction for the Starlink production team in Bastrop. You will bridge the gap between engineering specifications and factory floor operations by creating and delivering training programs that ensure high-quality manufacturing standards.

What you'll do
- Design and conduct training programs based on manufacturing planning data.
- Manage the documentation used for on-the-job training by production and engineering staff.
- Oversee qualification-based training initiatives to verify certifications.
- Create new course content that aligns with engineering requirements.
- Identify skill gaps and deliver training to reduce operational risk.
- Develop instructional materials including tests, handouts, and slide decks.
- Lead both classroom and online training sessions.
- Research new technologies and draft process specifications.
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to gather technical data.
- Track human error metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements.
- Onboard new Starlink Production Associates and introduce them to user terminal assembly lines.
- Update and maintain standard operating procedures within personnel qualification systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing planning environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in learning and development, project coordination, or training coordination.
Nice to have
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Prior experience delivering training in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to analyze and research manufacturing processes and standards independently.
- Experience with online module development and video editing.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience with learning management systems.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or MS PowerPoint.

Practical notes
