Supervisor, Fluids Fabrication Technicians

About the role

You will oversee fabrication activities for the ST15 program at Starbase. This role involves managing a team of technicians, optimizing manufacturing workflows, and ensuring all production targets are met with high quality.

What you'll do

• Manage daily fabrication schedules and team workflows.
• Oversee staff performance, training, and professional development.
• Evaluate and update work instructions to improve build rates.
• Track labor hours, overtime, and departmental metrics.
• Coordinate deliverables across multi-shift operations.
• Maintain inventory of tooling and consumables.
• Audit the work area to ensure safety and process efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in aerospace, aviation, or production assembly.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or project management role.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, with flexibility for weekends and extended hours.
• Capacity to work at heights up to 500 feet and in extreme outdoor weather conditions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, or crouch for up to 6 hours daily and lift up to 25lbs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual per ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor degree in a technical field.
• A&P license.
• 10+ years of experience in high-pace aerospace final assembly.
• Background in transitioning processes from development to full production.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and failure mode effects analysis.
