What you'll do

• Evaluate and qualify natural gas suppliers to ensure they meet SpaceX operational standards and volume requirements.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures with gas providers to secure favorable and sustainable procurement agreements.
• Monitor commodity market conditions and natural gas pricing trends to inform strategic sourcing decisions and timing.
• Coordinate with logistics and facilities teams to align gas delivery schedules with the needs of launch and ground operations.
• Maintain detailed records of supplier performance metrics, contract terms, and procurement transactions in internal tracking systems.
• Develop and manage a diversified supplier base to reduce dependency on any single natural gas provider.
• Prepare sourcing analysis and recommendations to support the procurement review process for senior leadership stakeholders.
• Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.
• Lead cross-functional discussions to identify and prioritize natural gas supply needs across multiple operational teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing processes to increase efficiency and reduce overall procurement cycle times.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, or a closely related academic field.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement or sourcing activities within the energy sector or natural gas industry.
• Solid understanding of commodity markets, contract negotiation techniques, and supplier management best practices.
• Proven ability to analyze quantitative data and translate findings into actionable sourcing recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective engagement with both internal teams and external vendors.
• Working knowledge of procurement software platforms and enterprise resource planning systems used in sourcing workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage several concurrent sourcing projects while meeting established deadlines and quality standards.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to supplier locations and SpaceX facilities as operational needs require.
