About the role
SpaceX is looking for a detail-oriented inspector to verify the build quality of Falcon and Dragon hardware. You will ensure that manufacturing processes meet design specifications and support the Material Review Board to maintain high standards for spaceflight components.

What you'll do
- Inspect Falcon components in-process using CAD models, technical drawings, and established manufacturing standards.
- Manage the storage and receiving of composite raw materials while ensuring policy compliance.
- Record production non-conformances and assist the Material Review Board with documentation.
- Maintain quality management system records and drive Lean Manufacturing and process improvement efforts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of inspection experience within military, aerospace, or manufacturing sectors.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts including 1st shift (4:00AM to 2:30PM), 2nd shift (3:00PM to 1:30AM), or weekend shifts (Thursday to Sunday).
- Physical capability to lift 25 lbs unassisted, stand for at least 8 hours, and maneuver in tight spaces.
Nice to have
- Associate degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
- 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or inspection roles.
- Current A&P license.
- Proficiency with GD&T, metrology tools, and gauges.
- Experience with composite ply cutting systems and laser alignment.
- Ability to interpret vendor cure reports and conformance certifications.
- Familiarity with paperless work instructions, electronic databases, and enterprise resource systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and Microsoft Office.

Practical notes
Compensation is based on experience and skill level: Level 1 ($26.00 - $32.00/hour), Level 2 ($30.00 - $38.00/hour), and Level 3 ($35.00 - $44.00/hour).
