Key facts
What you'll do
- Direct daily tasks and long-term goals for the EHS team, comprising technicians, specialists, and engineers.
- Collaborate with site leadership to integrate EHS considerations into department planning and procedure creation.
- Represent the EHS department in management meetings and briefings across the site.
- Provide guidance to the team on job assignments, correct procedures, and specific skill execution, ensuring accuracy.
- Communicate company mission and values, ensuring their integration into team objectives and work.
- Implement all components of an occupational safety program, including processes, documentation, and programs as defined by OSHA standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5 or more years of experience overseeing the design, development, and operation of EHS disciplines.
- 3 or more years of experience in EHS management.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on occupational health and safety, environmental engineering, or system safety engineering.
- Prior experience within the aerospace industry.
- Experience leading teams of EHS engineers and technicians.
- Experience with the implementation of occupational safety programs, including processes, documentation, and programs as defined by OSHA standards.
Practical notes
This is an on-site position requiring relocation if not already local to the Brownsville, TX area. The role may require working extended hours and weekends as needed.
