About the role
This position focuses on the microelectronics manufacturing processes for the Starlink satellite system. You will oversee the production lifecycle of PCBA assemblies to ensure high reliability and efficient output for our global broadband network.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage new product introductions for PCBA and microelectronics assemblies.
- Qualify new production equipment and design assembly line layouts.
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
- Implement automation to allow production teams to function independently.
- Monitor manufacturing metrics to improve yield, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee configuration management, traceability, and nonconforming product handling.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a science or engineering field.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in manufacturing process engineering, SMT, accelerated testing, design for reliability, or PCB design and layout.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
Nice to have
- Experience with high-volume production or ramping up lines in automotive or consumer goods.
- Knowledge of IPC/JEDEC standards for microelectronics.
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and metrics like CPK and OEE.
- Experience with NX or similar CAD software.

Practical notes
Compensation: Level 1 salary range is $105,000 to $122,500; Level 2 salary range is $120,000 to $150,000. Total rewards include stock options, discretionary bonuses, 401(k), medical/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, and paid parental leave. Employees receive 3 weeks of vacation plus 10+ holidays. Company shuttles operate between select Seattle locations and the Redmond office.
