Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test

About the role

Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team in Austin, TX. This position involves working closely with Quality Assurance and Development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality web applications and content delivery platforms.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Collaborate with QA and development teams to enhance the quality of web applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites for complex web applications.
• Implement UI and API automation using tools such as Selenium WebDriver and Rest-Assured.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines and automation processes using Jenkins and scripting languages.
• Conduct performance and reliability testing using Apache JMeter.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to peer code reviews and defect analysis.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of two years of experience in quality assurance and test automation for digital content delivery platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, including object-oriented programming concepts and data structures.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Maven for developing automated test frameworks.
• Familiarity with testing cloud-native systems in AWS environments and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of tools such as JaCoCo and SonarQube within GitHub workflows.
• Ability to perform testing in Docker and Kubernetes environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with indexing and search capabilities using Elasticsearch.

• The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $192,610 to $228,700.
