About the role
Somethings is dedicated to addressing the youth mental health crisis by supporting Certified Peer Specialists and creating engaging mental health experiences for teenagers. This role offers the chance to scale your clinical expertise and guide our Peer Support Specialist Mentors.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee Somethings Peer Support Specialist Mentors during specific evening and weekend hours.
- Uphold the safety and effectiveness of services provided to both Mentors and teens.
- Manage Mentors to ensure they meet and exceed professional standards and role expectations.
- Produce high-quality documentation for the Clinical Operations team.
- Report regularly to the Head of Clinical Operations regarding the well-being of your supervisees.
- Be prepared to offer direct support to teens requiring higher levels of care.
Requirements
- Hold a mental health license (LPCC, LCSW, LMHC) in Alaska.
- Possess prior experience supervising clinicians, peer specialists, or other mental health professionals.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of ACT, DBT, and CBT therapeutic approaches.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a startup environment, particularly within healthcare.
- Direct experience providing mental health services to adolescents, with a willingness to manage a small, occasional caseload.

Practical notes
- This is a contract position and does not include health insurance benefits.
- Guaranteed 27 hours per week.
- Annual Paid Time Off: 66 hours.
