Somethings is dedicated to addressing the youth mental health crisis by supervising Certified Peer Specialists. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct clinical work and also excels at guiding and managing others. You will play a crucial part in scaling our impact and ensuring high-quality care for teenagers.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Oversee Somethings Peer Support Specialist Mentors during specific evening and weekend hours.
• Uphold the safety and clinical effectiveness of both Mentors and the teens they support.
• Manage Mentors to ensure they meet and exceed professional standards and role expectations.
• Produce thorough and accurate documentation for the Clinical Operations team.
• Provide regular updates to the Head of Clinical Operations regarding the well-being of your supervisees.
• Offer supplementary support to teens requiring higher levels of care, as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a valid mental health provider license (LPCC, LCSW, or LMHC) in either Illinois or North Carolina.
• Possess prior experience supervising clinicians, peer specialists, or other mental health professionals.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of ACT, DBT, and CBT therapeutic approaches.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a startup environment, particularly in the healthcare sector.
• Direct experience providing mental health services to adolescents, with a willingness to manage a small, intermittent caseload.

Practical notes

• This is a contract position and does not include health insurance benefits.
• Guaranteed 27 hours per week.
• 66 hours of paid time off annually.
• This role is fully remote.
