About the role
Join Solaris as a Vorstandsreferent:in, working directly with the Board on strategic initiatives, transformation, and implementation. You will play a central role in driving the company's AI transformation and ensuring key decisions are executed across departments. This position involves preparing critical board and supervisory board meetings and leading strategic projects.

What you'll do
- Prepare, attend, and follow up on Board, Supervisory Board, and Shareholder meetings, including decision proposals and documentation.
- Independently structure complex strategic issues, from initial hypothesis to final recommendation.
- Manage the Board's annual strategic planning, OKR cycles, and management routines.
- Support the company-wide transition to an AI-native bank.
- Act as a liaison between the Board, Chief of Staff, and business units.
- Analyze regulatory implications (EU AI Act, MaRisk, DORA, BAIT) for Board decisions.
- Monitor market, technology, and competitor developments in BaaS, embedded finance, AI, and on-chain finance.
- Lead and coordinate strategic special projects for the Board in collaboration with the Chief of Staff.
- Ensure Board decisions are implemented according to defined milestones and KPIs.
- Develop and enhance Board reporting, including key metrics and escalation mechanisms.
- Prepare Shareholder updates with Finance, Legal, and Communications teams.
- Provide confidential support to the Board on operational, personnel, and strategic matters.
- Serve as a point of contact for the Supervisory Board, majority shareholder (SBI Group), and external stakeholders.
- Maintain high quality and governance standards for all Board documents and protocols.
Requirements
- Master's or Diploma degree in Economics, (Business) Informatics, Law, MINT, or a comparable field, with excellent grades. International experience or an MBA is a plus.
- 3-6 years of professional experience in a top-tier strategy consultancy (MBB, Tier-1), Investment Banking, a fast-growing Fintech, or the strategy/transformation department of a regulated bank.
- Strong understanding of banking, regulated financial services, or Banking-as-a-Service, ideally with exposure to BaFin/ECB regulations (MaRisk, DORA, BAIT, KWG).
- Significant interest in and solid grasp of AI, agentic systems, automation, and digital business models.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual abilities to simplify complex information into clear recommendations.
- Proficient in financial metrics, business cases, data, and reporting.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high quality standards, and a hands-on approach.
- Confident demeanor when interacting with Board members, Supervisory Board, shareholders, and external C-level stakeholders.
- Absolute discretion, loyalty, and integrity with confidential information.
- Resilience, pragmatism, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic transformation environment.
- Business fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
- Comfortable using AI tools, critically evaluating AI results, and contributing to a culture of responsible AI use.

- Annual gross salary range: €65,000 - €80,000 EUR, plus a variable compensation program.
