What you'll do

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new audio software features that enhance user experience.
Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing and deployment.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices and company standards.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure high performance and reliability.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in audio technology and software development to continually improve our products.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including user manuals and API documentation, to support our software offerings.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported by users or internal teams.
Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for new products and features.
Mentor junior developers and interns, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
Contribute to the overall company culture by promoting teamwork, creativity, and a passion for audio technology.

Requirements

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in software development, preferably in the audio or music technology industry.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java, with a strong understanding of software design principles.
Familiarity with audio processing algorithms and digital signal processing (DSP) techniques.
Experience with version control systems, such as Git, to manage code changes effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
A passion for music and audio technology, with a keen interest in staying current with industry trends.

Nice to have

Experience with real-time audio processing and low-latency systems.
Familiarity with user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX) principles in software applications.
Knowledge of audio plugin formats such as VST, AU, or AAX.
Previous experience working in an Agile development environment.
Understanding of cloud computing and software deployment in cloud environments.

Skills & tools

Proficiency in programming languages: C++, C#, Java.
Familiarity with audio processing libraries and frameworks.
Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Xcode, or similar IDEs.
Knowledge of software testing frameworks and methodologies.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools like JIRA or Trello.

Practical notes

This is a full-time position based in Linköping, Östergotland.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Sweden; visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.
