Senior Solution Engineer

About the role

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer for the UK market to address complex customer challenges. This position involves direct collaboration with sales teams and partners to understand customer requirements and guide them through the evaluation process. The goal is to help customers select Snowflake as their preferred solution.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Present Snowflake's technology and strategic vision to both executives and technical staff.
• Work directly with potential and current customers to demonstrate Snowflake's value throughout the sales cycle.
• Cultivate technical advocates within accounts to secure technical wins and advance deals.
• Stay current with Snowflake's technology and confidently present upcoming features and functionality.
• Maintain a deep understanding of competing and complementary technologies to effectively position Snowflake.
• Collaborate with other solution engineers to enhance collective learning and performance.
• Provide feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing for continuous product improvement.
• Represent Snowflake at industry events and customer gatherings.
• Partner with ecosystem and implementation partners on joint architectures and account strategies.
• Contribute proactively to account and territory plans and execute them with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience as a solution engineer or solution architect in a SaaS environment or related field.
• Excellent presentation abilities for both technical and executive audiences.
• Knowledge of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technologies.
• Practical experience with SQL.
• Capability to solve specific customer business problems using Snowflake solutions.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Retail or Travel sectors.
• Practical experience with Python.
• Familiarity with modern data technologies (e.g., dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration, Git).
• Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies.
