Senior Solution Engineer

About the role

Snowflake is looking for a Senior Solution Engineer to join their team in the UK market. This position involves helping customers resolve their most complex data challenges using Snowflake's technology. You will collaborate with sales teams and partners to understand customer needs and guide them through the evaluation process.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Present Snowflake's technology and strategic vision to both executives and technical staff.
• Work directly with potential and current customers to demonstrate the value of Snowflake throughout the sales cycle, from initial demos to proof-of-concepts and implementation.
• Cultivate technical champions within accounts to help secure deals and achieve technical success.
• Stay current with Snowflake's technology and confidently discuss future product features and capabilities with customers.
• Maintain a deep understanding of competing and complementary technologies to effectively position Snowflake.
• Collaborate with other solution engineers, sharing knowledge and learning from collective experiences.
• Provide feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's offerings.
• Represent Snowflake at industry events and customer gatherings.
• Partner with ecosystem and implementation partners to develop joint architectures and account strategies.
• Contribute to and execute account and territory plans, engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience as a solution engineer or solution architect in a SaaS environment, or relevant industry experience in analytics, data science, or data engineering.
• Excellent presentation abilities for both technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboard sessions and formal presentations.
• Knowledge of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technologies.
• Practical experience with SQL.
• Capability to address specific customer business problems using Snowflake's solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with diverse technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Financial Services Industry (FSI).
• Practical experience with Python.
• Familiarity with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, or Git.
• Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies.
