Solution Engineer - Emerging Enterprise FSI

About the role

This position involves helping customers in the UK market address their most complex data challenges. You will collaborate with sales teams and partners to understand client needs, guide them through evaluations, and help them adopt Snowflake's solutions. The role focuses on translating technical capabilities into practical solutions for various audiences.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Present Snowflake's technology and strategic vision to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Work directly with prospects and customers to demonstrate Snowflake's value through demos, proofs of concept, and design phases.
• Cultivate technical advocates within client accounts to facilitate successful deals.
• Stay current with Snowflake's technology roadmap and confidently discuss future features.
• Maintain a deep understanding of competing and complementary technologies to effectively position Snowflake.
• Collaborate with fellow solution engineers to share knowledge and improve collective performance.
• Provide feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake's offerings.
• Represent Snowflake at industry gatherings and customer events.
• Partner with ecosystem and implementation partners on joint architectures and account strategies.
• Contribute proactively to account and territory plans, engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in solution engineering or solution architecture within a SaaS environment, or relevant industry experience in analytics, data science, or data engineering.
• Excellent presentation abilities for both technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboard sessions and formal presentations.
• Knowledge of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technologies.
• Practical experience with SQL.
• Capability to address specific customer business problems using Snowflake's solutions.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey Snowflake's vision to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in the banking sector.
• Practical experience with Python.
• Familiarity with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, or Git.
• Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies.
