About the role
Smartsheet is seeking an analytical professional to join the Finance team and provide direct support to our GTM Sales organization. This position focuses on driving operational excellence through financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic reporting to influence company-wide decision-making.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage daily financial rhythms for GTM Sales to support growth and functional performance.
- Execute annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with GTM Sales and Revenue Operations to align resource allocation with financial targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sales organization structures and reporting.
- Partner with Business Intelligence to translate data into actionable insights for profitability and growth.
- Build and maintain financial models covering bookings, commissions, and sales productivity.
- Coordinate with the Accounting department to oversee month-end close processes.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Finance or FP&A roles.
- Bachelor degree in economics, accounting, or finance.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to visualize statistical data and communicate financial narratives to leadership.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with SaaS subscription business models and relevant KPIs.
- Familiarity with NetSuite.
- Background in planning software such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or Planful.
