Solutions Engineer

About the role

Smartly is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join the Technical Consulting team in Mexico City. You will design and build custom integrations and tooling to help enterprise clients and agency partners maximize the utility of the Smartly platform.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain custom integrations between the Smartly platform and external systems using cloud technologies and APIs.
• Create technical solutions for workflow automation, reporting, data connectivity, and DAM integrations.
• Partner with customer engineering and implementation teams to manage deployment, troubleshooting, and design.
• Build and improve internal applications and operational tools owned by the Technical Consulting team.
• Reduce technical debt and modernize legacy systems to improve scalability and reliability.
• Manage infrastructure tasks including CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Establish engineering standards through code reviews, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and platform integrations.
• Work with Product and Engineering departments to deliver tactical solutions that drive customer adoption.

Requirements

• Professional background in solutions engineering, software engineering, or technical consulting.
• Experience building cloud-based applications, system integrations, and APIs.
• Proficiency with modern cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, AWS, containerized applications, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong programming skills with a focus on production-quality, maintainable code.
• Ability to navigate technical ambiguity and solve complex customer requirements.
• Experience collaborating across engineering and customer-facing teams.
• Background supporting enterprise software implementations or technical consulting engagements.

Nice to have

• Experience in MarTech, AdTech, SaaS platforms, digital advertising, or enterprise integration environments.
