About the role
Smartly is seeking a creative leader to guide our brand identity across content, campaigns, and digital experiences. You will report to the SVP of Brand & Content, managing a design team while ensuring our visual output aligns with company business objectives.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage, mentor, and foster the growth of our internal design team.
- Create visual concepts and campaigns that build brand awareness and resonate with our audience.
- Oversee the creative lifecycle from initial brief to final delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Communications, and Brand departments to turn business goals into creative assets.
- Maintain and improve the consistency of our visual identity across all platforms.
- Approve creative work to ensure it meets our quality standards and strategic requirements.
- Develop and optimize workflows to help the team scale effectively.
- Monitor industry and cultural trends to keep our creative approach fresh.
Requirements
- Proven experience in creative team leadership and direct people management.
- Background in graphic design, visual communication, or brand design.
- History of working as a conceptual Art Director with a portfolio showing strong campaign thinking.
- Ability to convert business strategies and messaging into visual stories.
- Technical design expertise in typography, layout, and brand systems.
- Experience managing cross-functional partnerships and incorporating feedback from various stakeholders.
- Strong presentation and communication abilities.
- Capacity to balance high-level creative vision with business results.
Nice to have
- Experience in B2C marketing or consumer-facing brands.
- Background in SaaS, technology, or high-growth company environments.
