About the role
This role is responsible for leading a procurement team and enhancing operational processes. You will also oversee vendor relationships and risk management to support the company's growth.

What you'll do
- Lead and develop the procurement staff, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
- Implement procurement strategy by establishing team objectives, refining workflows, and ensuring daily execution.
- Manage the current purchase order and procurement process using Jira and NetSuite.
- Contribute to decisions regarding future procurement tools, which may include Jira to NetSuite integration, NetSuite upgrades, or third-party software adoption.
- Document and continuously improve procurement procedures, such as fast-track POs and vendor bill best practices.
- Act as a point of contact for daily procurement challenges, resolving issues for the team.
- Provide reports to leadership on team performance, key procurement metrics, and process efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships, risk, and the entire vendor lifecycle as a separate function.
- Develop a formal vendor review process covering onboarding, ongoing risk assessment, and offboarding.
- Collaborate with InfoSec and Legal to create tiered review paths based on purchase type and vendor status.
- Define escalation and review criteria that adjust rigor based on risk factors like data access, spend, and contract type.
- Support the company's move to a more mature procurement framework by ensuring vendor governance aligns with sourcing and tool changes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Proven experience in developing or improving vendor review and risk processes, ideally with InfoSec or Legal collaboration.
- Experience in driving process improvements and documentation within a procurement or operations setting.
- Ability to translate high-level strategic goals into actionable team plans.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, IT, InfoSec, Legal, and external vendors.
Nice to have
- Experience leading or participating in procurement system evaluations or transitions.
- Background in procuring IT or technology vendors.
- Experience designing vendor review frameworks that are risk-tiered or multi-lane.
- Experience supporting compliance or audit requirements related to procurement.
