About the role
Skydio is on the lookout for a proactive Program Manager to lead the implementation and delivery of solutions tailored for law enforcement agencies. This position requires overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from the initial planning stages to the technical execution, ensuring that key contracts are fulfilled successfully. As the main point of contact for the Chicago Police Department, you will be instrumental in driving both technical and programmatic achievements.

What you'll do
- Spearhead the planning and design phases for comprehensive project deployments and integrations, ensuring they meet operational success criteria.
- Oversee production and implementation programs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints, timelines, and technical specifications.
- Convert customer requirements into actionable tasks for Skydio's agile product and technical teams, facilitating smooth project execution.
- Cultivate strong relationships with law enforcement clients, working closely with Skydio's engineering team to achieve project milestones.
- Provide strategic advice to Skydio and client leadership regarding potential contract risks and opportunities, ensuring coordinated product delivery.
- Offer general support for go-to-market strategies and business initiatives as required.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary to stay aligned with objectives.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to communicate project status, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to project plans, timelines, and deliverables for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices in project management.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role as a program manager or in professional services, particularly within law enforcement agencies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership.
- Strong grasp of project management principles and tools, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to implement new technologies, work within agile development frameworks, and collaborate with technical teams to meet client deadlines.
- Experience in establishing and refining internal business systems, processes, and controls for large-scale projects in law enforcement.
- Background in Law Enforcement or Federal Program Management, encompassing Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning.
- Familiarity with Law Enforcement and commercial Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and associated software development processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a comfort level in data analytics and the ability to independently resolve complex challenges.
Nice to have
- FAA Part 107 certification, which is encouraged to be obtained within the first 60 days of employment.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and management in a law enforcement context.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to UAS operations and law enforcement applications.
