Principal Engineer

About the role

Showpad is hiring a Principal Engineer to guide the architecture and development of our enterprise SaaS platforms. You will bridge the gap between our Pune and Boston offices while setting the technical strategy for our Microsoft-based ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Design and document system-level architecture for complex distributed environments.
• Build features utilizing large language models to improve user workflows.
• Manage the delivery of large-scale initiatives across multiple teams.
• Define standards for coding, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and fault tolerance.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and succession planning.
• Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to align technical output with company goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in C#, .NET, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience designing microservices and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically serverless services like Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SQL databases like AWS RDS or Aurora, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as SQS, SNS, or Kafka.
