Shield AI is seeking a leader to modernize financial operations through advanced AI and data architecture. You will bridge the gap between financial strategy and technical execution, building tools that automate complex modeling and reporting.

What you'll do

• Create and implement an AI roadmap for FP&A, focusing on generative BI, RAG, document intelligence, and text-to-SQL workflows.
• Manage the full lifecycle of finance data products, including UI/UX, testing, and deployment.
• Architect a semantic layer that allows LLMs and BI platforms to query financial data with high integrity.
• Oversee Master Data Management for core finance domains to support revenue modeling and forecasting.
• Direct system migrations and platform modernizations, such as transitioning between major ERP and planning systems.
• Lead a cross-functional delivery team across Finance, IT, and Operations to manage a portfolio of AI and analytics projects.
• Head the Finance Data Governance Council to set standards for data quality, access, and security.
• Recruit and mentor a technical team of data engineers, analysts, and product specialists.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in finance technology, data engineering, FP&A systems, or AI, ideally in high-growth tech firms.
• Experience deploying generative AI, RAG pipelines, and data governance frameworks.
• History of managing cross-functional teams of 10 to 20 people and overseeing multi-million-dollar project portfolios.
• Ability to communicate complex technical strategies to CFO-level stakeholders.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and intermediate Python skills.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Anaplan, and SAP S/4.
• Education: M.S. in Information and Data Science.
