This position involves hands-on deployment of advanced autonomy software directly with clients globally. You will act as a key technical liaison, ensuring successful integration and operation of our systems in diverse, real-world scenarios. This role is ideal for an adaptable engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys direct customer engagement.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Travel approximately 50% of the time to customer sites worldwide to assist with software integration and development.
- Master the Hivemind software suite and its various autonomy components.
- Offer technical guidance and training to clients.
- Create AI and autonomy applications using Shieldai's software development kit.
- Support sales efforts through demonstrations and client interactions.
- Aid in the deployment and integration of Shieldai's enterprise software products.
- Produce and update technical documentation and training resources.
- Help clients resolve software and API integration challenges.
- Work with product engineering to incorporate customer feedback for product enhancements.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Possess at least 5 years of professional experience in the industry.
- Have a minimum of 2 years in an integration or applications engineering capacity.
- Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience working within a startup setting.
- Exhibit a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
- Be highly proficient in modern C++ programming.
- Show intermediate proficiency in Python programming.
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Communicate effectively and build strong interpersonal relationships.
Nice to have
- Experience in the defense aviation or robotics sectors.
- Prior experience managing a small enterprise software applications or solutions engineering team.
- Hold an advanced technical degree, particularly in robotics or autonomy.

Practical notes
- Salary ranges: Senior: $130,000-$195,000; Staff: $160,000-$235,000; Senior Staff: $185,000-$280,000.

- This role requires significant travel, including international trips that may last several weeks.
