About the role
This role is for a product designer who actively builds and prototypes with code. You will be responsible for taking complex user problems, designing elegant solutions, and then writing the front-end code to bring them to life for customers.

What you'll do
- Take full ownership of product features from initial problem definition through design and front-end code implementation.
- Create functional prototypes using code to quickly test ideas and gather user feedback.
- Drive product development by focusing on outcomes and collaborating closely with engineering teams.
- Deliver high-quality, polished user experiences efficiently, paying close attention to both design and code.
- Enhance the design system and component libraries to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Mentor other designers, helping them integrate code into their workflows and improve their technical skills.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience shipping products where you were responsible for both design and front-end code implementation (e.g., React, Typescript, Node.js, Vue.js).
- A portfolio showcasing live products that you designed and built, not just static designs.
- Strong aesthetic sense and an understanding of what makes a user experience intuitive and enjoyable.
- Solid grasp of modern front-end development principles, enabling the creation of performant and scalable solutions.
- A proactive, self-directed approach to problem-solving and task completion.
- Ability to clearly communicate design choices and technical considerations to both design and engineering colleagues.
- Interest in Bitcoin, financial empowerment, and the future of finance.

Practical notes
- Base salary range: $190,000+ CAD.
- Compensation includes equity, performance-based increases, health and dental benefits, and paid time off.
- Employees receive a $2,000 annual budget for learning and development.
- 20 days of vacation annually, with a $1,000 bonus if all days are used.
- 18 weeks of parental leave top-up at 100% salary.
- Optional access to offices in Montreal and Toronto.
- English fluency is required.
