Sezzle is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager who excels at both technical understanding and interpersonal skills. This role is key to bridging the gap between strategic goals and practical implementation, focusing on data-driven and AI-enhanced financial technology products.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Transform project objectives and quarterly priorities into detailed technical specifications and actionable plans.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and design teams to develop, test, and release new features.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of technical product documentation, user stories, and release processes.
- Utilize SQL for defining key performance indicators, testing assumptions, and tracking product performance.
- Conduct A/B tests and experiments to foster continuous learning and improvement from concept to outcome.
- Ensure clear communication and effective prioritization across engineering, operations, and other departments.
- Proactively identify and address potential technical risks, edge cases, and dependencies.
- Operate with a sense of urgency and accountability in a dynamic environment.
- Work with data and AI teams to integrate intelligence and automation into product functionalities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- In-depth knowledge of APIs, system integrations, software architecture, and data pipelines.
- Proficient in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in product management, preferably within fintech, e-commerce, payments, or AI-driven products.
- Demonstrated success in launching complex products from initial idea through iterative improvements.
- Experience working in agile settings with close collaboration with engineering teams.
- Practical experience with AI tools, data models, or generative AI applications.
- Ability to make informed decisions with incomplete information and navigate ambiguity.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills to translate technical details into clear plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for technical and executive audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience with regulated credit, lending, e-commerce marketplaces, or card products.
- Familiarity with modern AI infrastructure, such as LLMs, MCPs, or model operations.
- Background in two-sided marketplaces or payment orchestration systems.
