About the role
You will partner with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions that power critical financial processes. You will be an integral part of the software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and support. This role gives you the opportunity to work as an integrated team member while developing new features and improving existing systems. You will leverage your accounting background to identify gaps and drive improvements in automation and reconciliation workflows. Your contributions will ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards, and you will provide support and consulting on software systems usage across the organization.

Requirements
- You have prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst in a professional setting.
- You possess a solid understanding of financial operations such as reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You are proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go.
- You are familiar with database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL for storage and retrieval tasks.
- You have experience with backend API development and integration.
- You have hands-on experience with relational databases, including storing and retrieving data efficiently.
- You demonstrate familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes.
- You have demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools and are comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.

Practical notes
