Public Relations + Communications Associate at Sezzle.
About the role
Sezzle is looking for a PR and Communications Associate to help shape our brand narrative and manage our social media presence. This role involves balancing creative content production with data-driven analysis to improve our public reach and engagement. You will work closely with the Head of PR to execute strategies across multiple platforms while adapting to the fast-paced nature of the fintech industry.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Monitor media coverage, track press mentions, and compile competitive intelligence reports.
- Coordinate with third-party agencies for influencer marketing, media monitoring, and GEO management.
- Analyze performance metrics for PR and social media to identify optimization opportunities.
- Assist in planning and executing in-person brand and PR events.
- Manage social media calendars and content creation for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Use AI tools to generate concepts, interpret data, and automate manual workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure brand alignment across campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in PR, journalism, or social media.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Claude or similar large language models for productivity and research.
- Ability to write clear, engaging copy for various audiences.
- Strong project management skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience using data to inform testing, reporting, and strategy.
- Proven ability to manage social media channels with examples of past performance.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Experience with Meltwater or Globe Newswire.
- Graphic design skills and proficiency in Figma.
- Background in database marketing.
