Mobile Engineer (LATAM, All Levels)

About the role

Sezzle is hiring mobile engineers across all experience levels to join our remote team in Latin America. You will work on our high-traffic consumer applications, contributing to the growth of our fintech platform while advancing your career through defined engineering paths.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain features within our TypeScript React Native mobile application.
• Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to the evolution of the platform.
• Write clean, testable code and engage in peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to estimate, plan, and deliver product releases.
• Assist in maintaining the mobile app as a platform for multiple internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional experience solving technical problems within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Swift.
• Experience with modern frontend development using JavaScript or TypeScript, specifically React Native or React.
• Required: Demonstrated ability to use Claude or equivalent large language models to improve productivity and communication.

Nice to have

• Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Ability to write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and React Native architecture.
• Familiarity with standard software development lifecycles and release management.

Practical notes
