About the role
Sezzle is looking for a Senior Manager to oversee and expand relationships with key partners in the payments, lending, and fintech sectors. This position functions as a bridge between product, engineering, and operations, requiring you to manage technical integrations while driving business growth. You will operate as an individual contributor with high autonomy, reporting on performance to executive leadership.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Act as the primary contact for major payments, lending, and infrastructure partners.
- Conduct executive business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of partner implementations, from contract signing to technical launch and optimization.
- Serve as an internal expert on partner APIs, payment flows, and lending architecture.
- Negotiate contracts and renewals while monitoring KPIs and service level agreements.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, product, risk, finance, and legal teams.
- Identify and mitigate operational or strategic risks related to partnerships.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, product management, or payments.
- Technical fluency regarding APIs, webhooks, integration architecture, and authentication.
- Strong understanding of the payments landscape, including card networks, gateways, acquirers, and BNPL models.
- Proven ability to manage executive-level relationships and lead cross-functional programs.
- AI fluency, with an expectation to use AI tools for productivity, analysis, and communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in technical account management or solutions engineering.
- Background in consumer finance or lending platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing transaction data.
