About the role
Sezzle is looking for an IT Operations Intern to join our team in Bogota. This position offers practical experience in IT service delivery and system administration for individuals currently pursuing a technical degree.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage and resolve end-user support tickets using Jira for hardware, software, and access issues.
- Diagnose and repair technical problems on both Windows and macOS devices.
- Prepare and deploy hardware for new hires and manage equipment for departing staff.
- Handle account provisioning and system configuration tasks.
- Keep accurate inventory records and perform regular audits of IT assets.
- Create and maintain internal troubleshooting guides and process documentation.
- Assist the broader IT team with infrastructure upgrades and automation projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree program.
- Must be based in Bogota, Colombia, with the ability to work both remotely and onsite.
- Proficiency in using Claude or similar large language models to improve research and productivity.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking, device troubleshooting, and system configuration.
- Experience with macOS and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in an IT support role, whether through internships, volunteer work, or academic projects.
- Foundational understanding of IT security principles.
- Experience using Jira or other ticketing software.
- Interest in obtaining professional certifications like CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or JAMF 100.
