What you'll do
Manage the procurement, deployment, and physical security of computer equipment for employees in Mexico, supporting both macOS and Windows operating systems.
Address and resolve IT support tickets submitted through Jira, seeing each issue through to completion.
Assist in clearing items from the Jira backlog to enhance the team's proactive approach to IT operations.
Stay informed about changes within the company's application environment and IT security best practices, communicating this knowledge effectively to the engineering team and the wider organization.
Fulfill hardware and software requests, which may involve on-call duties and occasional work outside standard hours.
Conduct IT onboarding sessions for new hires and manage IT-related aspects of employee departures.
Support IT audits by documenting access control history and participating in quarterly software vendor reviews.
Requirements
Fluency in English is essential.
Possess 2 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrate a collaborative spirit, sharing tasks and stepping in when needed, coupled with excellent communication, patience, and a desire to learn.
Proven experience using Claude or similar large language model tools is mandatory, with a comfort level in using AI for productivity, research, and communication.
Proficiency in administering cloud-based productivity suites, managing macOS devices with enterprise tools, using IT service management platforms for ticket automation and workflow design, managing enterprise Windows devices with third-party solutions, and administering enterprise endpoint security platforms.
Nice to have
Ability to identify problems, assess situations, implement solutions efficiently, and proactively improve processes to prevent recurring issues.
Adaptability to a dynamic organizational environment with a startup mindset.
Experience working within an agile framework, including familiarity with Jira ticketing, estimation, and meeting structures.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to create clear, replicable documentation for workflows, supporting change management for auditing and process improvement.
Experience with PCI-DSS, SOC 2 Type 2, and CIS controls, including implementation, documentation, administration, and ongoing compliance.
