AI Infra Engineer
Job description
About the role
You will serve as the Intelligence Infrastructure Lead at Serotonin, owning the end-to-end design and operation of the systems that power our go-to-market intelligence. This role centers on constructing the data pipelines and agentic workflows that ingest raw market signals and convert them into structured, actionable insight. You will be responsible for transforming noise from social platforms, on-chain activity, and paid media into reliable intelligence that directly informs our campaigns and platform strategy. Your work will ensure that the Serotonin Platform remains a robust nucleus for the crypto ecosystem, connecting builders and founders with the resources they need to grow. You will collaborate closely with marketing leads and client teams to observe real workflows and gather requirements before writing code, ensuring solutions are grounded in actual operational needs. Success in this position is defined by the adoption and reliability of the system you build, measured by usage and impact across multiple teams. You will be accountable for delivering a living system that is performant, observable, and sustained long after initial deployment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Execute the full scope of work required for the AI Infra Engineer position as defined by Serotonin.
- Design and implement intake mechanisms that capture social, on-chain, and media signals to feed structured intelligence workflows.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and agentic processes that normalize, enrich, and reliably structure diverse input sources.
- Review system outputs with stakeholders to validate accuracy, relevance, and actionability in the context of client campaigns.
- Ship live applications that marketing teams use daily, tracking usage patterns and driving iterative improvements based on direct feedback.
- Coordinate with external partners to align on data contracts, integration standards, and long-term platform strategy.
- Establish monitoring and alerting patterns that detect failures quickly while preserving the integrity and security of the intelligence layer.
- Translate workflow requirements from marketing and client teams into technical specifications that engineers and analysts can implement without ambiguity.
- Optimize deployment and operational practices to ensure intelligence systems remain performant, observable, and maintainable in production environments.
- Maintain a clear line of sight between system behavior and business outcomes, adjusting architecture as usage patterns evolve.
- Document data contracts, pipeline behavior, and operational runbooks to support scalable adoption across teams.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities to respond to incidents affecting data freshness, pipeline reliability, or insight delivery.
- Contribute to the selection and evaluation of tools, platforms, and vendors that enable durable and scalable intelligence infrastructure.
- Act as a technical liaison between data engineering, product, and client teams to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of three years of experience building infrastructure to support data or AI workloads in production environments.
- Demonstrate hands-on proficiency with cloud platforms, containers, and orchestration tools necessary for scaling intelligent systems.
- Show a deep understanding of data pipeline design, storage choices, and query patterns tailored to analytical workloads.
- Write production-grade code with an uncompromising focus on maintainability, testing, and clearly defined operational contracts.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex data and agentic workflows under time constraints.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating ambiguous requirements into concrete specifications.
