DevOps Engineer - Remote at Sentara.
About the role
Sentara is seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage cloud infrastructure and streamline software delivery processes. You will focus on building scalable environments and automating workflows to support our internal development teams.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using an IaC-first approach with Terraform.
- Manage Kubernetes (AKS) environments and container deployments.
- Create and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub.
- Partner with development teams to build self-service infrastructure tools.
- Troubleshoot networking, deployment, and cloud infrastructure issues.
- Develop reusable modules and platform standards to improve operational efficiency.
- Integrate GenAI tools to boost productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience with a degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
- 5+ years of total experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform for provisioning.
- Experience with GitHub for source control and CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to manage Kubernetes (AKS) environments.
- Familiarity with Application Release Orchestration tools such as Massdriver, Redhat, GitLab, or Harness.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, including VNets, routing, and security.
- Background in Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
- Exposure to platform engineering and developer self-service models.

- Salary range: $80,204.80 - $133,681.60.
