About the role

Seesaw is looking for a technical leader to manage and expand our engineering hub in Amman. You will oversee the growth of our local team while bridging the gap between regional operations and our global product strategy.

What you'll do

• Manage the transition of the Amman engineering team from a flat structure to a tiered leadership model as headcount increases from 15 to 30 plus.
• Partner with Product, UX, and Sales departments to execute technical roadmaps for the MENA education market.
• Oversee the migration of legacy systems to modern architectures and implement AI across the development lifecycle.
• Maintain high standards for code quality and AWS infrastructure reliability.
• Coordinate with US-based leadership to ensure the Amman team contributes effectively to the global product vision.

Requirements

• Professional proficiency in both English and Arabic.
• Experience managing engineering teams of at least 15 people with a plan for scaling to 30 plus.
• Proven history of modernizing legacy codebases in live production environments.
• Technical background in full-stack development, specifically PHP, Python, and React.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS and automated testing frameworks.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes a 4-hour daily overlap with US East Coast business hours from Monday through Thursday.

• Background in EdTech, SaaS, or B2G sectors.
• Experience deploying AI features to end users.
• Established professional network within the Amman technology industry.
