Solutions Engineer - Robotics & Autonomous Driving at Scale AI.
About the role
Scale AI is building the infrastructure to transition artificial intelligence from digital environments into physical robotics and autonomous systems. This role focuses on supporting industry-leading robotics and autonomous driving companies by providing the technical expertise required to deploy high-fidelity data pipelines.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate with Sales and Engagement Managers to secure technical wins through customized demos and Proof of Concepts.
- Define technical requirements for multi-modal data pipelines involving LiDAR, Radar, Camera, and IMU sensors.
- Partner with Product Engineering and Management to influence the product roadmap using frontline customer insights.
- Develop Statements of Work and assist the delivery team with ground truth implementation.
- Build playbooks, demos, and tools to facilitate successful customer pilots and expansions.
- Serve as a domain expert in physical AI, including VLMs, VLAs, and World Models.
- Represent the company at industry events and academic conferences.
- Engage with international partners to help develop a global Robotics Data Marketplace.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development using Python, C++, or Java.
- Hands-on professional experience in Autonomous Driving, Robotics, or Physical AI.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders ranging from executives to engineers.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on ownership and detail.
- Ability to travel regularly within the Bay Area and internationally approximately once every two months.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in sales, solutions engineering, or partnerships with a history of meeting quotas.
- Experience managing enterprise deal sizes ranging from $500K to $5M+.
