About the role
Sardine is looking for a technical product leader to manage our internal Platform-as-a-Service and Data-as-a-Service offerings. You will guide engineering teams in maintaining high-availability systems, optimizing cloud expenditures, and building data architectures that support our fraud detection platform.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Establish and track error budgets to maintain 99.99% system availability.
- Develop strategies for scaling production systems and managing GKE cluster consolidation.
- Manage the GCP cloud budget, identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs by 25%.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to tune BigQuery tables and ETL/ELT pipelines for better performance.
- Prepare data structures that support Machine Learning models and advanced analytics.
- Coordinate with Legal and Security teams to enforce GDPR and CCPA compliance through Cloud IAM and data access controls.
Requirements
- Experience managing technical personnel such as engineers and SREs.
- Background in leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Proficiency in GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, and SRE methodologies.
- Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, BI, and AI/ML product deployment.
- Ability to manage large cloud budgets and analyze infrastructure pricing.
- Skill in communicating complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
