DevOps Engineer

About the role

Sardine is building an agentic risk platform to combat financial crime and fraud in real time. We are seeking an experienced engineer to manage our infrastructure, optimize cloud spending, and improve developer productivity within our global team.

What you'll do

• Manage and advance our DevOps and platform engineering operations.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance system observability using Datadog and GCP.
• Establish FinOps governance to track and manage cloud costs.
• Develop internal tools and modules to assist engineering teams.
• Define and track SLOs to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with finance and product teams to align architecture with business goals.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or software engineering.
• Proficiency in Go or Python.
• Background in high-growth startup environments.
• Experience securing infrastructure within regulated financial or government sectors.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform.
• Deep knowledge of GCP or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with FinOps practices and cost management tools like Kubecost.

• Experience building custom cost allocation and reporting tools.
