About the role
Sardine seeks an Account Executive to drive sales of its financial crime platform across the UK and EU. This role involves cultivating new business relationships and closing deals with major financial institutions and emerging fintech companies. You will be a key player in expanding Sardine's market presence.

What you'll do
- Build relationships with senior leaders in business, technology, risk, and compliance to promote Sardine's offerings.
- Conduct detailed discovery sessions to understand client needs, current technology, and strategic goals.
- Become an expert on Sardine's product suite, demonstrating its adaptability to client challenges.
- Manage the entire sales process, from lead qualification and tailored presentations to negotiations and contract closing.
- Provide internal feedback to Sardine teams based on insights from prospects and clients.
- Establish yourself as a thought leader in digital transformation, identity, compliance, and fraud.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales.
- 3+ years of successful sales experience targeting Tier 1 Financial Institutions, Fintechs, and neo-banks, with a focus on fraud and compliance.
- An extensive professional network of industry executives.
- Proven consultative sales skills and the ability to lead effective discovery sessions.
- Capacity to translate complex technical and regulatory challenges into clear business value.
- Excellent research, planning, and attention to detail.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stage sales cycles.
- Exceptional communication, public speaking, and writing abilities.
- Demonstrated experience structuring intricate deals and strong financial understanding.
- Willingness to travel within the UK/EU and internationally as required.
- Ability to work effectively within a globally distributed, matrixed organization across different time zones.
- Fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Additional European language skills (e.g., Spanish, French, German).
- Knowledge of UK/EU financial regulations, including FCA, PSD2, AML directives, and UK APP fraud reimbursement rules.
