Join Samsara's Route Execution team to develop critical systems for fleet route planning, optimization, and real-time tracking. You will contribute to a platform that enhances dispatcher tools and driver efficiency, working across the full technology stack.

What you'll do

• Build backend services that manage and track thousands of routes concurrently, providing insights for optimization and efficient resource use.
• Develop user interfaces for dispatchers and fleet managers to oversee and manage organizational routes and deliveries.
• Implement APIs and integrations with external systems like TMS/ERP to process high volumes of route data.
• Integrate real-time data, such as traffic and weather, into navigation features to ensure dynamic route accuracy and optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Solid understanding of programming principles and best practices.
• Proven experience in designing and architecting large-scale systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to lead technical discussions.
• Ability to estimate, communicate, and meet project deadlines effectively within a team.
• Must reside in Canada.

• Prior experience with routing, dispatch, or navigation systems.

Practical notes

• The annual base salary range for this position is $142,800 to $184,800 CAD.
• This role is eligible for an initial Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant and ongoing refresh opportunities.
