Strategic Implementation Consultant

About the role

This position involves guiding Samsara's top clients through the initial stages of their journey, ensuring successful deployment of solutions. You will be the primary contact, defining project plans and delivering on customer value. This is a cross-functional role, connecting sales, support, sales engineering, and product teams.

What you'll do

• Act as Samsara's expert, managing the deployment of technology for large-scale customers to ensure rapid value realization.
• Oversee project management, including developing project plans, maintaining RAID logs, and conducting governance meetings.
• Lead solution workshops to establish initial processes for various business functions.
• Assist customers with change management, covering policies, communications, and training.
• Conduct training sessions, demonstrate Samsara's technology, and resolve issues with both executives and daily users across multiple applications.
• Manage several customer engagements simultaneously and collaborate internally to provide an outstanding customer experience.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of experience in a senior implementation consultant, project manager, or management consulting capacity.
• Strong project management skills, including adherence to established methodologies.
• 4 or more years of experience supporting or working with technical products.
• 4 or more years of experience leading on-site workshops with over 10 participants.
• A solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
• Excellent consultative skills with experience in complete system implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executives, senior management in Product and Engineering, and daily software users.
• A drive to exceed expectations, take initiative, and thrive in dynamic, evolving environments.

Nice to have

• German fluency.
• Experience incorporating AI or automation into Customer Success workflows to achieve measurable productivity gains.
• Experience developing implementation methodologies or frameworks.
• Comfort and success in unstructured, fast-paced, and frequently changing environments.

Practical notes

This role requires up to 30% travel to customer sites, which may include overnight stays.
