People Operations Manager

About the role

Safe is a Series C startup with 170 million dollars in funding, providing AI-driven cyber risk quantification for global enterprises. We are looking for a People Operations Manager to oversee our internal systems and employee lifecycle as we scale our operations.

What you'll do

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and transfers.
• Maintain data integrity and records within BambooHR.
• Coordinate background checks, employment documentation, and logistics with IT, Finance, and Facilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Administer leave requests, accommodations, and employment verifications.
• Collaborate with Legal on immigration and policy compliance.
• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Manage international hiring and compliance through the Deel EOR platform.
• Act as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries regarding HR policies and payroll.
• Run performance management cycles and reporting via Leapsome.
• Support employee engagement surveys and culture-building initiatives.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures to improve organizational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or HR Generalist roles, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment.
• Hands-on experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms.
• Experience managing performance management software like Leapsome.
• Experience using EOR platforms, specifically Deel.
• Knowledge of United States employment regulations and compliance.
• Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
• Analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Experience working with Finance, Legal, and Talent Acquisition on international hiring.
