Russell Tobin is hiring a Software Engineer III for a 12-month contract based in Sunnyvale, CA. You will join a team of data engineers to build scalable infrastructure that supports high-volume data collection and advanced algorithmic development.

• Create and support software services for high-scale data ingestion.
• Architect features that address the requirements of multiple data consumers.
• Engage in design reviews with stakeholders to select optimal technical approaches.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain quality and share technical knowledge.
• Collaborate with internal and external engineering groups to align on project goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor or Master degree in a related field, or at least 5 years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Object Oriented Programming.
• Deep knowledge of Django and the Django Rest Framework.
• Ability to build web interfaces using React with a focus on user experience.
• Experience managing both relational and NoSQL database systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
